How to Extract Meaningful Information from the Internet Routing Registry

Plot Services

From this page it is possible to access a set of services that plot statistics about the information inside the Registries.

The plots can be customized in order to include different registries, RPSL object types, peering types, etc., and it is also possible to get multiple plots over a certain dimension (for example, the Registries or the object types).

All the data used to build the graphs comes from the purged version of the IRR that is generated after removing inter-registry inconsistencies (for more information about this step have a look into the description of the service and see the publications).

Please notice that all the services require JavaScript to be enabled for the query forms to work correctly. The following services are currently available:

• Timestamp distribution: a service to get distributions of the last update timestamps of RPSL objects.
• Size variation: a service to observe the evolution over time of the size of the IRR in terms of registered RPSL objects.
• Peerings over time: a service to visualize the evolution over time of the number of peerings extracted from the IRR.
